I was excited to work with the fabulous Fran Chelico for the wedding of Lucia-Anna and Bryce. The day started out at the beautiful St Francis of Assisi Parish in Vancouver followed by the reception at the Diamond Alumni Centre at SFU. Luckily the weather held up following the ceremony and we were able to catch some amazing light up at SFU for the portraits prior to the reception starting. I always love when I find new and exciting place to photograph couples on their wedding and Fran and I found a great spot to do some killer portraits of the pair. Here are some of the highlights from the day.
I always give myself little projects of the day when shooting, this wedding was reflections.

When I woke up to the pouring rain, I was really dissapointed, not because it was raining, I actually like shooting in the rain but because I really love Jen and Joel and wanted their day to be perfect for them. As Libby and I headed to Temple Sholom in Vancouver the clouds broke and the rain stopped! We started out by taking photos of Jen getting ready, followed by the ceremony, reception and at the end of the afternoon we headed downtown with the happily married couple to do some portraits. Here are some of my favorite from the day. Thanks you two for being two of the funniest and easy going people i’ve ever met.

What more could a photographer ask for then a fabulous couple, fun wedding party, fantastic venue and hot day? We started out at the amazing Four Seasons Hotel in Vancouver where the girls were getting ready, then off to Holy Rosary Cathedral for the ceremony, some urban portraits in downtown Vancouver and back to the Four Seasons for the reception. Thank you so much to Lotus Events for making the day run so smoothly and putting together a stunning backdrop for the reception. And thank you so much to Alycia and Chris for trusting and allowing me creative control to me to document your day, you two are rockstars!

Kirsten and Max are two of the calmest easy going people I’ve ever met, and it’s evident by spending a bit of time with them that they are a perfect match for one another. I met this fantastic couple through, Elana Lancit of A Sweet Beginning, wedding consulting and event planners http://www.asweetbeginning.com/ The day started out in Surrey where Kirsten got ready at her parents home, we managed to sneak in a bit of time to do some photos in the forest where she would hang out and play when she was younger. Off to one of my favorite sites in Vancouver the amazing Cecil Green Park House, and voila here are some of my favorite shots of the day. Thank you for making my job so easy for me!

I adore David and Tania! I can honestly say I have never been to a wedding with so much joy, laughter and tears. It is evident from the moment you meet them that they are meant for each other, the honest and genuine way that they intact with each other to the inside jokes and the stolen glances makes them a perfect match. Keri and I started the day in Yaletown where the girls got ready, then off to meet David for their first glance, some quick portraits downtown and finally to the amazing Hart House for the ceremony and reception. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your day I look forward to photographing your growing family.

Seeing each other for the first time, compliments of Keri

One of the most beautiful moments was when they walked down the aisle together.

Libby and I had a blast photographing your day, I can’t wait until out fall photo session.

I love Micheal and Jordan they rock! Their wedding had so many of my favorite things, yellow diamonds, Prada shoes, amazing dress from Bisou, Hugo Boss tux and the fantastic Vancouver Club as the backdrop for the day. I met them last year at the wedding of Adam and Amy and I was so excited when they called me to photograph their wedding! Here are some of the highlights from their Vancouver Wedding.

From the moment I met Angela I loved her! I met with Angela her mom, two sisters and her Dad way back in October and I was so excited when she asked me to photographer her wedding, not only is she stunning she and her sisters had me doubled over in laugher all day. I was excited for the wedding and to finally meet Brandon the groom, they live in Alberta so I didn’t actually get to meet him until moments before the ceremony. We started off in Burnaby photographing the girls then headed into Vancouver for a quick ceremony followed by many many family photos (Angela is the oldest of nine!) then into Stanley Park and downtown for Portraits, and finally off to the Italian Cultural Center for the fantastic reception.
The ceremony by my amazing assistant Libby
The heaviest and one of the prettiest bouquets I've ever held.

It was clear to me when I first met with Steve and Julina that they had a very special bond. Their quite and loving nature made them ever so attentive to each other and I was excited for their July wedding to arrive. Shooting on one of the hottest days of the year, we had a blast stopping traffic and stopping for ice cream. Their beautiful day took place at Westwood Plateau in Coquitlam. Thank you so much for allowing Libby and I into your special day.
They are so cute they are always laughing

I’m not sure what happened to the summer, but as I sit here typing this post the rain is falling outside and the sad realization that wedding season is almost over hits me! I’ve fallen so behind on my blog, that this wedding took place in June, so today I’m making a promise to myself and all of you to blog once a day until I am all caught up.
I first heard from Ashely in January, they found my webiste and booked my over the phone, as they both live in Calgary, we fist met in the Spring when they came out to visit family and I photographed their e-session. Ashely and Scotts wedding took place at the beautiful Alumni center at SFU. We had a blast taking pictures with the hilarious wedding party, and it was an excellent chance for me to catch up with Natalie and Zach whose Vancouver wedding I photographed last year. Thank you for the wonderful day, and I can’t wait to see you both in Calgary.
