Ken and Angela | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

October 31, 2010 at 4:26 pm by Daniela

Ken and Angela are two of the funniest people I’ve ever met. I was looking forward to their wedding all year because I knew they were going to be such a high energy couple, plus I love it when couples give me creative control to do whatever I want! Ken and Angela met two years ago on E-Harmony and fell for each other immediatly. They even had a mock e-harmony commercial put together by Paul from Perfect Pair Media. You can see it here http://vimeo.com/14745384 it’s hysterical and gives you a little idea of how much fun the two of them are and why Mike and I had a blast photographing this wedding. Here are a few of my favorites from the day. Thank you so much for letting me photograph your amazing love. I look forward to our adventures in the future.

Helene and Mike Terminal City Club | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

October 14, 2010 at 10:19 am by Daniela

This wedding was stunning! It was the first time I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Tara Thorp of Forever True Wedding Planning and Design. I’ve worked with a lot of planners in the past 10 years and she really knows how to get things done pulling the day together seamlessly and putting together fabulous details. Mike and Helene’s ceremony and reception took place at the Terminal City Club in Vancouver where there serene room was decorated with beautiful orchids, stunning bamboo structures with punches of green leaves, the sound of water fountains flowing in the room and warm candlelight to set the mood. Here are some of my favorites from the day, thank you so much for letting me be there to document your love.

Heather and Mikel | Vancouver Island Wedding Photographer

September 24, 2010 at 1:19 am by Daniela

Heather and Mikal are two of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. When they asked me to photograph their wedding on Vancouver Island I was excited for a number of reasons. As all of you know I love to travel, weather it’s near or far I find it inspiring to photograph a wedding in a new location. However the reason I was really excited to shoot this wedding is because of the vision Heather had for their big day. From the amazing fuchsia wedding gown, to the sugar cookies, to the meticulous wedding cake prepared by Heather’s mom, right down to  the delicious candy buffet, this wedding had it all in terms of  little details. Thank you so much for the hospitality that your family extended to us over the weekend, good luck in your beautiuful journey together.

Brad and Leslie | Calgary Wedding Photographer

September 20, 2010 at 1:26 pm by Daniela

I’ve just come back from photographing an amazing wedding in Calgary, which made me realize just how far behind I am in my blogging. I photographed Brad and Leslie’s  Calgary wedding just over a month ago and I am finally getting a chance to share the beautiful images with you. I met Brad and Les just over five years ago here in Vancouver, we met through mutual friends and every time I would see them they would say,  ”This year we are getting married.”  Well a few years went by and finally I said, “hummm call me when you have a date.”  Well this past fall, I got a call saying, “We set a date!”  I was thrilled to hear they were getting married in my hometown of Calgary and that they would be holding their wedding at a venue I’ve always loved Teatro Resturant. The day was amazing. We did a first look at the golf course where Brad and Les met and fell in love, then off for some portraits in downtown Calgary with the wedding party and finally the beautiful ceremony and reception at Teatro.

Thank you so much for having me share in your special day.

Asia and John UBC Golf Course Wedding | Vancouver Wedding Photographer

August 26, 2010 at 3:08 pm by Daniela

Words cannot describe how lovely this wedding was. I was so excited to work with some of my favorite vendors. Lisa and Jodi from Sweet Beginnings Wedding Consulting and Event Planners made the day run smoothly and my favorite florist Evan from Flowerz did an amazing job with the gorgeous bouquets. Although the rain poured down on us Asia and John made the best of it. Thanks to Libby from Studio 32 for helping me out!

Shirin and Bill | Vancouver Wedding Photographers

August 23, 2010 at 3:21 pm by Daniela

This was an epic wedding, three ceremonies spanning over three days, multiple outfit changes and a lot of laughter amongst family and friends. The wedding took Libby from Studio 32 and I to all parts of the lower mainland, we photographed in Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond and Surrey capturing the colorful love of Shirin and Bill. From the moment Shirin and Bill walked into the studio and told me about their day I knew I wanted to be a part of it. Bill is Sikh and Shirin is Ismaili so they were going to incorporate both traditions into their day, this however meant really long days all of which lived up to everything I imagined it would be, from the colorful sari’s to the amazing jewels we captured some truly special moments. They come from two beautiful families which is why they share an amazing love.  I am so grateful to have been apart of your day.

Michelle and Kevin | Vancouver Wedding Photography

August 17, 2010 at 1:37 pm by Daniela

What a beautiful day! Michelle and Kevin are two people who were destined to be together as Kevin puts it, they are each others puzzle pieces. The day started at Michelle’s, then it was off to the gorgeous VanDusen Garden for the ceremony. A quick shoot in Yaletown with an antique couch that we stole from the house before we left and finally a stunning reception at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Thanks Libby for being my go to girl for the day! Michelle and Kevin it was such a pleasure to work with you and your hysterical wedding party!

Olivia and Richard Vancouver Wedding | Vancouver Wedding Photography

July 10, 2010 at 2:24 pm by Daniela

It’s weddings like Olivia and Richard’s that make me feel blessed to be a Vancouver Wedding photographer.  I met with them almost a year and a half ago they were referred to me by one of my past wedding couples Patricia and Bentley. As we chatted about their day at the studio I knew their day was going to be unique. Finally July 3rd rolled around and this 13 hour jam packed day didn’t disappoint. Two tea ceremonies, three dress changes, games, lion dancers and an unbelievable amount of laughter I could not have asked for a more perfect day or couple. It was a dream to have almost three hours to do portraits after the ceremony, which was held at the Celebrations Pavilion in Queen Elizabeth park. We hiked through Queen Elizabeth getting Olivia and Richard to climb into bamboo forests and over rocks, I should have mentioned to them that it was going to be a workout! We then headed down into Yaletown, the sky and the light was spectacular and we were able to capture some stunning dramatic images. Finally it was off to the reception at Sun Su Wai in Richmond. Thank you so much for allowing me to have free reign to capture your love and thank you to Mikc Wachniak for second shooting with me.

COREY & SARAH BARCELO MAYA PALACE MEXICO Part One| DESTINATION WEDDING

June 19, 2010 at 10:29 am by Daniela

To say that I was excited to document this wedding would have been an understatement, what could be better then photographing a beautiful couple in an amazing location?  It was back in January when I received a phone call from Austin Texas where Sarah and Corey live asking if I would be interested in coming to Playa del Carmen to be their wedding photographer, after a few emails and phone calls the details were set and I would be Mexico bound just ten days after coming back from my amazing European wedding adventure. I arrived at the Barcelo Maya Palace at around 10pm on Tuesday and was greeted by my good friend and second shooter Fran Chelico, as she filled me in about how amazing the resort was my anticipation grew. The next morning when I woke up in paradise and explored a bit I realized there would be no shortage of spectacular locations to photograph the wedding. Corey and Sarah had a large wedding by destination standards an impressive 37 people, which is a true testament to how much they are loved by all their family and friends. Thank you to all your friends and family for making us feel so welcome!  Sarah you are the most easygoing person I think I’ve ever met and Corey you are hysterical, together you make an amazing couple who’s love is clear just by the way you interact with each other. Im truly blessed to have the most amazing job in the world.
