I am so blessed to have gotten to know Sandy and Philipp through this amazing experience. Having known photographers, Justin and Steph from Hyperfocus, it was Steph who connected me with Sandy (her sister), who needed a photographer for her wedding in Italy…it was as if my dreams came true. Very excited, Sandy and I met up in December and it all came together in January. I simply knew it was going to be an unbelievable experience.
The wedding took place in a small, medieval town in Italy called, Cortona. Sandy and Philipp were married at city hall and the reception was in Umbria, which is a province that neighbours Tuscany. Being in the tuscan countryside was breathtaking. The reception was held at Villa San Crispolto that was surrounded by an olive grove.
Leading up to the big day, I had met Sandy and Philipp’s sweetest and hospitable family and friends who had traveled from Canada and Germany to celebrate with them (over 70 people!) The reception consisted of a very traditional italian meal, with 7 courses. Everything was simply astounding!
The wedding was a dream come true to photograph being that I’m from Italian roots. Sandy and Philipp are truly in love, and I can’t wait to see them again and hear about the next adventures life brings them. Special thank you to my then boyfriend, (now fiancé) Stewart, for second shooting the wedding with me! You’re a great right hand man!
