I’ve been dying to release this contest for weeks and the time has finally come! I’ve been so blessed in my life being able to do what I love best. About a month ago as I lay staring at my ceiling at 3am I had the idea to run a contest to, “Pay it Forward” the plan was to find a couple through my blog to shoot their wedding for free, it had to be a couple with a compelling story. A few days later I ran into Elana Lancit at the Wedding Fair and shared my idea with her and well this is what has come of the little idea. Please pass this onto anyone you think may be a good candidate for this contest all the details are below. We have so many amazing vendors who have offered their expertise to the lucky winner. $30,000 Dream wedding offered as prize in Unique Contest
A lucky couple will be able to say, “I do” — for free — thanks to a Valentine’s Day contest run by two Vancouver-area wedding specialists.
Daniela Ciuffa, principal photographer and owner of Ciuffa Photography, is teaming up with Elana Lancit, president of Sweet Beginnings™, a wedding consultant and decorating firm, to offer the romantic contest.
The rules are simple: The couple must write a one-page story about why they feel they should win the free wedding. Ciuffa said the contest judges — the vendors who have donated more than $30,000 worth of services for the pair to tie the knot — are looking for a compelling story.
“We want to hear from couples that have overcome the odds,” she says. “And we want to award the wedding to someone who is deserving of the prize.”
Both long-time professionals in the Vancouver wedding industry, Ciuffa and Lancit decided to offer the contest “as a way of paying it forward,” Ciuffa says. “We want to give back to a couple that has really faced a difficult road and can celebrate their day with their friends and family — at virtually no cost to them.”
The wedding will take place the last week of March and will host up to 40 guests. The wedding package will include
